  • Camp Ridgecrest for Boys is located in the beautiful Blue Ridge Mountains of North Carolina, just 20 minutes east of Asheville. The camp staff are passionate about helping campers grow the whole self: spiritually, physically, mentally, and socially.
  • Opportunities for paid ministry are available in many different areas. We have a strong need for excellent Junior Counselors who are excited about learning and responsibility. The role of a Junior Counselor is rooted in service, loving kids unconditionally, and sharing Christ in daily life.
  • Activities include Soccer, Basketball, Baseball, Football, Weight Lifting, Archery, Riflery, Crafts, Rocketry, Outdoor Living, Bible Study, Guitar, and more. We have additional positions for activity directors, counselors, adventure staff, laundry staff, office staff, and photojournalists.
  • Base JC salaries begin at $290/week plus food and lodging. Junior Counselors live in cabins with campers and receive 2.5 days off per two-week session. Employment runs from late May to early August. JC's must be finished with their senior year of high school.

  • Directly responsible for the health, safety, and well-being of all campers in their dorm group, a counselor has day-to-day involvement with each camper as an individual and with the entire group
  • He or she must see that every individual camper makes friends, becomes acclimated to life at camp, grows towards his or her potential and becomes a part of the total camp community.
  • Assistant coaches are responsible for improving the athletic skills and abilities of the campers within their respective sport major. They are relied upon by the Head Coaches to help implement coaching plans.
